I am writing to apply for the Master’s Program in Software Engineering and Computer Systems. I graduated in Computer Science at Gunadarma University, Faculty of Computer Science and have received a Bachelor in Science degree. My specialty is databases and applications but my main focus of interest is software engineering and database information systems. Ever since I started my undergraduate program in Gunadarma University, I decided to pursue further academic education in Software Engineering or Computer Systems. I think that especially Software Engineering is very interesting subject because of the complicity of the whole process of projecting and implementing software and a very important role of the information systems in our life. I have chosen this field as it is dynamically developing technology and promises a fulfillment of professional goals that I set for myself.
I decided to apply for the Master’s Program in as the culture and lifestyle of this country appeals to me strongly. Not to mention the high education level and demanding programs as well as great job opportunities and professional approach to modern technologies. I think that the chosen program will help me to gain both knowledge and experience to start
a professional carrier in Information Technology as well as promise a fulfillment of my interests. With a solid foundation in academic theory and practical knowledge gained during two internship and part-time job where I have been employed during my Bachelor’s Program I believe I am qualified to start a Master’s Program in the chosen field of interest. After I complete my Master program and receive Master degree I would like to start PhD studies, preferably in National University of Singapore, in the same field to pursue further research.
